I live in Reedy Creek on the southern Gold Coast, about 5 minutes off the Pacific Motorway and 10 Minutes from Robina. I travel within an hour in all directions – Northern Gold Coast, Logan, South Brisbane, Tamborine, Lower Beechmont, Springbrook, Tweed/Northern Rivers. Please reach out if you’re not sure if I come to your area.

Yes. We work together in what is called a ‘shared care’ arrangement with the hospital. The difference is you see a known midwife (me) at each appointment, rather than a different member of hospital staff each time. I can provide referrals for blood tests and ultrasounds in the same way your GP can. I send a referral to your birthing hospital and they will arrange a time for you to attend a ‘booking in’ appointment with them. If you choose, I can be with you in hospital for support and advocacy. I then support you with postnatal care in your home after you are discharged from hospital.

Yes. Sometimes women are classified as ‘high risk’ at the start of pregnancy and sometimes this can happen during pregnancy if issues arise for mum or bub. This means we may need to include other health professionals in your care in order to ensure we have support for your particular needs, but you will have me as your midwife the whole way through, however that looks. Having someone who ‘knows the system’ and can liaise between the medical team and you provides reassurance.

Yes, many of my clients choose water birth for birthing at home, however you will need to hire a pool separately.

Yes, private midwives are required to plan to have a second midwife in attendance at a home birth. I work with a number of other midwives and as I get to know you, I choose a second midwife who also aligns with your values. The second midwife’s fee is included in the fees and is not an additional cost.

I have a number of different options, depending on your needs. From full, comprehensive homebirth packages down to one-off information sessions, I am able to tailor my care to suit your needs. Please get in touch to discuss how I can support you.

When you hire me as your midwife I am 'on call' for you throughout your care. If you have questions between visits, you are welcome to contact me and don't need to wait until your next visit. All I ask is that non-urgent questions come through during business hours (8am-4pm Mon-Sat). As you can understand, being on call means my phone is always on, so late night texts can wake me.

Yes, of course! I offer a free consultation where we can meet one on one and discuss further questions. Alternatively, I would happily answer your questions over the phone or via email (see contact page for details).
